Children’s edition of Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s Book of Joy will be available this fall

An illustrated version of a best-selling book co-authored by Nobel Peace Prize laureates the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu will be published this fall.

Random House Children’s Books announced on Tuesday that The Little Book of Joy will be released on September 27, with the collaboration of American authors Rachel Neumann and Douglas Abrams on the text and illustrations provided by the artist Rafael López.

In 2016, Bishop Tutu and the Dalai Lama worked together on The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing Worldwhich has sold over a million copies and been translated into over 40 languages.

Tutu died on December 26, 2021 at the age of 90.
