The Indianapolis Colts set up a tryout for four independent receivers Monday before the start of 2022 training camp, according to the league’s trade wire.
With starting camp Mike Strachan, sophomore, on the PUP listit’s no surprise to see the Colts check out the talent available on the market.
The four wide receivers included Isaiah Ford, John Hurst, Ishmael Hyman and Tyson Morris.
Of the four, Ford has the most NFL experience. He has played 37 games while making three starts since entering the league in 2018.
Hurst and Hyman have bounced around the league a bit, mostly on practice squads, while Morris went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft.
The Colts can make a move to wide receiver, and players like TY Hilton, Julio Jones and Odell Beckham Jr. are always available as well.
