Only fully vaccinated pilgrims under 65 are allowed in this year’s Hajj, according to Saudi state information

Saudi Arabia has increased the number of Hajj pilgrims permitted this year to one million inside and outside the kingdom, the Saudi news agency SAP reported on Saturday.

Kingdom officials have said the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca this year will be restricted to those under 65 and that pilgrims must be fully vaccinated, SPA reported.

The ministry added that pilgrims from abroad must also present a negative COVID-19 PCR test and health precautions will be observed.
