Game 2 for the Miami Heat got even worse in the third quarter, as starting forward PJ Tucker came out with a bruised left knee. The team quickly announced that he would not be returning for the game.
Considering the Heat were down 96-71 at the end of the third quarter, an injury obviously wasn’t what the team needed.
Tucker entered Game 2 averaging 8.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 12 playoff games while shooting 54.7% from the field and 47.1% from deep. . He came out Thursday with five points and four rebounds in 22 minutes.
With starting point guard Kyle Lowry still out for the Heat, Tucker’s health will be a big factor heading into the Eastern Conference Finals.
