Rebel Wilson revealed that she was once sexually harassed by a male co-star who then tried to “destroy her career”.

The Pitch Perfect star detailed the “disgusting” incident in an interview with People in which she says the actor pulled down his pants and asked her to perform a sex act.

She didn’t name the actor or say what movie they were in together.

“He called me into a room and pulled his pants down,” Rebel recalled.

“It was horrible and disgusting,” she added. “And all the behavior that followed – this was before #MeToo – where they kind of tried to destroy me and my career. If it had happened after #MeToo then I could have blown them up.

The 42-year-old star, who trained as a lawyer before rising to screen fame, documented the incident and told others what happened.

She eventually ended the film with the unnamed actor, saying she wanted to “do the right thing, be a professional” but said looking back, she would never do that now.

“Why did I stay in this situation…with this horrible guy?” ” she says. “I should have left. It wasn’t worth it. But at the same time, I was like, ‘Well, do the right thing, be a professional and finish the movie.’ Now I would never do that.

The actor says that after complaining to the movie studio behind the film, she found out she wasn’t the first person to complain.

“I thought even complaining to my agency was a big step,” she said. “And complain to the studio. I found out that I was like the fourth person to complain about this guy. Such rude behavior, but many women have had it much worse.
