As Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson and his legal team are awaiting news from the NFL as potential disciplinary action stems from 22 lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct during massage therapy sessions, there is now a 23rd.
Via ESPN.com’s Sarah Barshop, a a new complaint has been filed against Watson. According to the complaint, the plaintiff “changed her mind about filing a complaint after watching the HBO Real Sports article.”
It makes an already staggering number of plaintiffs against Watson all the more staggering. And that gives the NFL a new claim to weigh as it decides what to do with Watson.
Meanwhile, time is running out on whether the disciplinary process can be completed before training camp opens or, at the latest, when the first week rolls around. With commissioner Roger Goodell taking paid leave at the end of March, Watson is eligible to train and play until the league decides otherwise.
